Sandy Met Billy in the Spring of 1966 and September 17th 1966 Sandy and Billy were Married. Sandy had a love for fast cars and she was right at home with Billy and his fast cars. Sandy wanted to race but Women was not allowed to race in competition. Sandy went on street races with Billy and spent their weekends at Milan Dragway in Milan, Michigan.
Milan Dragway would have a race for the "WOMEN ONLY" that was called the "POWDER PUFF RACE" once a year. Sandy entered each race and won every race she entered.
In 1974 Women were finally allowed to enter into competition and Sandy started driving a few races a year in the Street Class and was very successful. Sandy raced part time the Street Class from 1974 through 1987.
In 1988 Sandy raced her 1987 IROC Camaro street car in the Street Class and Won the points Championship which qualified her to go to Bristol, Tennessee to IHRA ET Bracket Finals. Sandy managed to win 3 rounds which was a big help in the Team Winning the Championship. Sandy also Awarded the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Award
Sandy with 21 Wins, 12 Runner up and 16 Semi Finalist, Billy knew she was very Competitive and wanted her own race car. At the end of the 1988 Season Billy gave Sandy her first real race car which was his old 1971 Nova.

In 1989 Sandy started racing every weekend and she became one of the most consistent and feared racer in the Sportsman Class. Sandy competed in her first and only National Event the IHRA, "Northern Nationals" in 1989 and was Runner Up. Sandy's racing friends gave her the nickname "The Granny From Ypsilanti" as her and Billy lived in Ypislanti, Michigan at the time, before moving to Manchester, MI. Sandy won 48 Races, 18 Runner up and 25 Semi Finalist finishes. Sandy was the Female Driver of the Year in 1990, 1992, 1993 and 1994 and Won 2 Points Championships from 1988 Through 1999. Sandy finished in the top 5 Every year until Her and Billy retired from racing.
